In support of CSL OWL SRI B.V., OWL is currently seeking a:

Offshore Project Engineer

The Company

Offshore Wind Logistics B.V. (OWL) is an ambitious and growing company. Dedicated to serve the renewable offshore energy sector, we specialize in hands-on marine services. In close collaboration with the company Canada Steamship Lines (the CSL-Group), OWL has set-up the joint venture company CSL OWL SRI B.V.

Last year this JV company has ordered two impressive subsea rock installation vessels with which the JV is now evolving into a leading independent marine services provider, offering comprehensive subsea rock installation services.

Turn engineering into offshore success. Build something new.

At CSL OWL SRI B.V. (COS B.V.), we’re building the future of Subsea Rock Installation.

With two brand-new DP2 Fallpipe Vessels under construction, we’re delivering complex subsea projects for international clients. Safety, quality and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.

To strengthen our offshore operations, we’re looking for an Offshore Project Engineer who can bridge the gap between engineering and execution. You’ll play a key role in translating technical plans into successful offshore operations, working closely with the Offshore Construction Manager, Survey teams, Bridge crew and Deck Operations to ensure every project is executed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

What will you do?

No two days offshore are the same. As an Offshore Project Engineer, you ensure that engineering plans are successfully translated into offshore execution.

During your shift, you monitor technical progress, coordinate with multiple disciplines and respond quickly to changing operational conditions. You don’t just focus on today’s operation—you continuously look for ways to improve tomorrow’s.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support and supervision during offshore operations while monitoring safety, quality and project progress.
  • Translating engineering documentation, drawings and method statements into practical offshore execution plans.
  • Coordinating technical and operational activities with the Offshore Construction Manager, Bridge, Survey teams and Deck Operations.
  • Identifying and resolving technical challenges during project execution and optimising work methods where necessary.
  • Preparing and maintaining progress reports, technical documentation and as-built documentation.
  • Evaluating project execution and contributing to continuous improvement and future offshore operations.

What do you bring?

You are technically skilled, analytical and practical. You understand engineering concepts but always keep your focus on successful offshore execution.

You remain calm in changing situations, quickly assess technical challenges and work collaboratively to find effective solutions. You communicate confidently with colleagues from different disciplines and enjoy working in an international offshore environment.

In addition, you have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Experience within offshore, subsea or maritime projects, with the ability to translate engineering documentation into practical offshore execution.
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to work in an offshore rotation schedule.

What do we offer you?

Joining COS means becoming part of an exciting new chapter. As our organisation continues to grow and our two DP2 Fallpipe Vessels prepare for operation, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future of our offshore projects.

We offer a technically challenging role with significant responsibility, where your expertise, ideas and initiative will have a direct impact on our success.

We offer:

  • A competitive salary based on your knowledge and experience.
  • The opportunity to work on two brand-new DP2 Fallpipe Vessels.
  • Plenty of room for initiative, ownership and professional development.
  • A close-knit team of experienced offshore professionals.
  • Challenging international projects within the offshore energy and marine infrastructure sectors.

We work closely together with a ship management company, meaning you will operate in an environment with multiple stakeholders and shared responsibilities. This is exactly where you will make the difference, by bringing structure, maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality, and ensuring all elements work together effectively.

Our culture is pragmatic, direct, and hands-on, with short communication lines and plenty of room for initiative. You will move quickly, have direct influence on decision-making, and immediately see the impact of your work.
