Introduction

Are you a Financial Accountant who not only wants to be responsible for the numbers, but also for how finance is structured within an organization? In this role at Offshore Wind Logistics B.V. in Rotterdam, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to shaping the financial framework.
The foundation is in place, but processes are still evolving. This means you will not only ensure accurate financial administration, but also actively think about how things can be improved, optimized, and made future-proof. You will work independently, liaise directly with the CFO, and play a key role in further professionalizing the finance function.

What will you do?

As a Financial Accountant, you are responsible for maintaining a solid financial foundation and further developing it. You combine execution with improvement: you ensure the numbers are accurate, while continuously looking for ways to optimize processes.

You play a key role in the monthly and annual closing processes and actively contribute to their further professionalization. In addition, you take the lead in reporting to management, the holding company, and the bank. You analyze results, identify deviations, and ensure the CFO has the right insights to steer the business.

As Financial Accountant, you are also the primary point of contact for the external auditor, ensuring everything is well-prepared and substantiated. At the same time, you critically assess current ways of working: where can processes be smarter, more efficient, or more automated? Think, for example, about optimizing and integrating processes related to payments, expense claims, and invoicing.

In concrete terms, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and safeguarding accurate financial administration
  • Executing and further developing monthly and annual closing processes
  • Preparing and improving financial and management reports
  • Analyzing financial data and advising the CFO
  • Optimizing and automating financial processes
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the external auditor

You report directly to the CFO and are given significant freedom to take ownership of the role and shape it further.

What do you bring?

You are someone who brings structure and takes ownership. You understand how a financial administration should be set up, but you are equally motivated to improve and optimize it.

You have a strong foundation in accounting and are used to working independently. At the same time, you are not just an executor, you are someone who thinks along, improves processes, and takes responsibility.

We would like to see the following:

  • A completed degree in Finance & Control, Accountancy, or similar
  • Experience in a broad financial role, such as Accountant or Senior Financial
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and monthly/annual closing processes
  • A background in a corporate environment, with a hands-on and process-oriented mindset
  • Experience with or affinity for process optimization and automation (e.g., ERP systems)

Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • You work in a structured manner and create clarity
  • You are independent and take ownership
  • You are not set in your ways and critically assess how things can be improved
  • You are pragmatic and enjoy a hands-on approach
  • You are communicatively strong and easily interact with the CFO and external parties

What do we offer you?

In the role of Financial Accountant, you will have the opportunity to truly make an impact within an organization that is continuously evolving. You are not only responsible for the numbers but also play an active role in further shaping and improving the financial organization. You will be given a high level of responsibility, trust, and the space to apply your expertise.

You will be part of a dynamic, technical, and project-driven environment, working closely with the CFO and having a direct influence on the financial structure. This is a role where you not only execute, but also build, optimize, and actively contribute ideas on how processes can be designed more efficiently and effectively. At the same time, you will collaborate with highly educated technical professionals and have the opportunity to contribute to international projects within the offshore sector, including DP2 vessels and heavy equipment.

Furthermore you can expect:

  • A gross monthly salary between €5,000 and €6,200, depending on your experience
  • 24 vacation days, 8% holiday allowance, and an 8.33% year-end bonus
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility to work partly from home
  • A high level of autonomy in how you shape your responsibilities
  • The opportunity to work on international projects within the offshore sector, including DP2 vessels and heavy equipment
  • Collaboration with highly educated technical professionals and access to innovative technologies
  • The opportunity to define technical standards and implement structural improvements within the organization
